Available at their Ebay store as well: https://www.ebay.com/itm/325233319725

What do you guys think? This pretty much checks all the boxes for me. IPS screen and backlit KB as well. Would these specs come down further?

I got this last week on July 4th sale. Pretty damn good for the price. Upgradable too not like the newer laptops. Screen is just okay but can't complain. Works great for me

Great laptop for the price. I have one. I got the 400 nits screen and 16 GB ram. I only have 2 complaints: 1) the hinge is wobbly if you type really hard or bang on the laptop (probably due to the 2-in-1 factor I would assume it can't be that stiff) 2) the speakers volume is not that high even on max

Does this seem like a better deal for $30 more? https://slickdeals.net/f/15897781-lenovo-ideapad-1-laptop-15-6-fhd-touch-ryzen-7-5700u-12gb-ram-512gb-ssd-cloud-grey-530

How would this be for gaming? From indies to AAAs, if possible. Appreciate it!

How did you get the 400 nits screen? I assume you probably didn't buy it from Best Buy?

I bought this the other week when BB was having a sale and put it through the paces. It's for my aunt.

My perspective is that it's a pretty awesome computer. Fast. Touchscreen. works with Surface pens. You can fold it in such a way that it's a propped tablet for touch-only situations. It has a Windows Hello camera.

The only negative for me is that when it runs hard, it'll blow very hot air out the back and depending on how you have it positioned (i.e., in your lap), it can get very uncomfortable. In a way that would never happen with my Surface Pro 8.

But alas, the machine was intended for my aunt. And my aunt thought the machine was too big and heavy. I personally thought that for the screen size, it's not bad at all. So it's went back to BB.

I ended up getting her a refurbished Surface Pro 7 for the same price. I had wanted her to get a bigger screen because I figured at her age, her eyes would be bad. The x360 did feel faster than the Surface Pro 7 with i5. But she actually loves the Surface Pro 7. Go figure.

It's funny because I'm a huge Surface Pro fan but I never push that onto people unless I know their personalities and that they're techies. But she somehow gravitated to it (I gave her a list of choices at that price point with touchscreen/pen support that she wanted and a small lightweight body).

you have to judge what's important to you.

I think the Ideapad is just a regular laptop. It doesn't fold back like the HP. I also don't think it has pen support. The body design for the Lenovo looks kind of meh and Lenovo keyboards kind of suck (though the HP keyboard wasn't that great).

Not a great laptop if you're installing Linux (in my case Ubuntu) and expect it to work out of the box. Lots of driver issues with the B&O speakers and the Mediatek WiFi/Bluetooth card installed. The kernel recognizes this card as a 7921 when it's a 7922. Although there is an update out in kernel 5.19rcX, still doesn't work for me. Ended up swapping out to an intel ax210 card. Still working on the sound, I've been playing with the audio pins with no success. Have a week to figure it out before I pass the return date.

The screen is meh as well but for the price it probably won't bother a lot of people. If you can afford it, go and configure the laptop on HPs site with a better screen and apply a coupon code. It'll be around $1100+tax. If you're cool with a low res not that bright screen and using winblows, this is a great laptop for the price.

Another note, if you're upgrading ram or the M.2 ssd, do not follow the YouTube videos where they tell you to rip the rubber off the bottom to access another 4 screws. This applies to the older envy models. All you need to do is remove the 4 visible screws and then use a pry tool to remove the bottom plastic cover. You'll screw up the rubber feet if you try and remove them and realize you wasted your time. Pick up 2x8 or 2x16GB DDR4 3200 memory and a m.2 2280 ssd (512GB-1TB) and you have a machine that'll kick some butt for another $100-200.

Terrible. Youll want a dGPU, for any real gaming, for example the deal below has a better CPU, GPU, bigger storage, better wireless, for only $50 more but isnt touch screen:

No number pad on a 15" laptop is a no go for me.
