Killer deal.

Not quite 4K resolution but more pixels than QHD without a curve and IPS.

3 webpages side by side or a combo with a media player or chat list.

And it's not an annoying 60hz screen. Everything fluid on this monitor.

The industry standard for 34" seems to be curved these days. Has anyone tried a flat 34" and how the experience is compared to a curved one?

Damn. I jumped on the Predator x34 the other day for $480. I expect it to be nice, but I imagine I would of been perfectly happy with this at $130 cheaper.

To OP, if you're not gaming at all, you could hold out for a cheaper panel as the 165hz refresh would be wasted on spreadsheets, but other than that this will definitely get the job done.

Bought this 28 days ago lol. I like it a lot honestly. I wasn't ready for a curved monitor, but man do I love the real estate. I've had no issues, it's a little bright at night but it's got several brightness/color options and I just don't bother to change them. Crisp quality. 165 Hz, IPS. I upgraded from a 1080p 27" 60Hz, so I really am happy with it.

Do you regret not getting the curved monitor? Trying to decide for side by side spreadsheets, and some light coding which I would enjoy more. Might even have to get back into gaming a bit with a shiny new 34" screen....

I'm definitely tempted to buy a curved one, but I'm not sure honestly. I personally really like the flat look, plus IPS, so at this price point it's fantastic. I sit far enough away where I don't have to move my head much. But there has been twice while play CoD, where I wanted to try a curved.

I spend most of the time programming on it. Visual studio code has never been so crisp. Add PowerToy's FancyZones on top and it's real nice.

The only negative I really had against buying it was that it didn't have the picture-by-picture mode that Gigabyte's m34 or whatever had, but that's out of stock and FancyZones (for the most part) is a good substitute for that.

EDIT: also I want a flat not just cause I love the flat aesthetic, but in case I get back into 3d modeling.

I got the Dell - S3220DGF 32" LED Curved QHD FreeSync Monitor with HDR for $350 last year. I didn't realize how good having a curved display would be on a monitor of this size. So I imagine a 34" would be even nicer. I have a large very high end flat screen monitor that I've used for years as well and it just feels so unnatural in comparison.

I have this monitor after owning a 34inch dell curved ips 60hz monitor. I dont miss the curve. Love the 165hz and fast response. Picture is also great. Barely any ips glow compared to my old Dell.

So is this one better then the LG also posted today for same price? I know this one is flat compared to the LGs curved.

This is an IPS panel. I believe this is the only IPS 165hz 1440p ultrawide panel at this price.

This is quite tempting. If it was curved, I do not think I could resist.

This one is really good. Used to have a curved 34 inch VA monitor, miss the curve less than I thought. IPS, 165hz, and HDR all make this a great deal. Also, freesync doesn't flicker like it does on some VA panels.
