i can remember signing up for the amazon thread after lurking for less than a month Big Grin

i saw SD when i searched about the OM price mistake on a portable hard drive. nod

my first deal was for a free vivanno drink at starbucks. and i recall that a certain galaxygirl rolled her eyes at me because said repost left and right. i had no idea what MA's were. i wonder where she is now. Scratchchin

i remember i didn't know how to edit my thread title and even modalerted that the title be changed for me Embarrassment

i can remember venturing here in the lounge, with no clue what TMPT was. and i thought jenni's chat was for the cool kids, i mean literally. it had a version then. laugh out loud

and i remember my first woot off Whee

I remember lurking for awhile before I signed up. Then I signed up and I didn't try to think of a clever or funny name cause I thought "Ehh, I rarely post on boards so what's it matter?"

I remember thinking the front page was the only page and that "slickdeals" was going out themselves and finding the deals and no one else was. So I was all "Thanks slickdeals!" on my first posts...the OP was probably like "Hey...what about me, bitch?"

I remember wondering where people were getting all the pictures they'd post in the Lounge.

I remember coming to the Lounge and reading about TR making some chilli. That might have been one of my first posts here. I think I asked how it went and he PM'd me and told me the recipe or something.

I remember coming here during the whole hornyhousewife thing...and how it turned out to be a man...and I was like (seriously) "Wtf? People come on boards and pretend to be a woman when they're not?"

I remember schooby making me a birthday thread and I had only posted maybe 10 times in the Lounge over the course of about 9 months...and people posting in it and saying "Happy Birthday AutumnNight...who is that? Huh " I don't think Schooby even knew but she created me a thread. I loved her then.

I didn't post much for awhile and then I started playing Omerta Mafia with VQ, Pig, Burn and some others. That thread and game were freaking addictive. I posted a lot in that thread and made some friends so I felt comfortable posting more outside the Lounge. I finally changed my profile picture from a picture I had taken of the Grand Canyon to a picture of me..and Apple PM'd me and said "Is that you? You're a girl?" laugh out loud

I lurked for about a year before joining. Mostly looking at the hot deals thread. I finally signed up to post in a lounge thread but don't recall what the thread was about. Hung out in the C&S forum for a long time, until the lounge sucked me in and I couldn't find the way out.

IIRC, the only reason I created an account was to set up a deal alert for a color laser printer.
Then I figured, hey, I'm logged in and looking at these deal threads, might as well post something. After that, it was getting to be a slow day so I figured I'd look at some of the other forums besides Hot Deals. Now I'm a FNG.

I registered to have a go in the Podium. Having come from CNN's boards, I was very interested in the happenings in the M.E. and liked to debate. I'm not sure how I ended up in the Lounge, but I do remember Brisar asking me a few questions (this was long before she was a mod nevermind supermod) and being welcoming. It's her fault. Blame her.
