This is a great deal on these. The fidelity is so-so and the volume is limited (can't listen in noisy environments, even normal street traffic is often too much) but the open-ear format is brilliant for background listening. I love using mine to game on my steamdeck in the living room while everyone else is watching TV or reading because I can hear everything, but if someone ask me a question or engages in conversation I can hear them and pause the game to respond. I've also got a set with the microphone for work so I can wear it as a headset - it's much less tiring/isolating than having a set of buds in.

If you run, road bike/mountain bike, etc....don't hesitate and pick these up. You can still hear the music and be safe with the enivronment around you.

Is it still half if you've already bought 2 different pairs instead of one good pair?

After 5 months, very happy with the Moing which can be found for $35:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08JFTD74R

And recently picked up the Tokani with a larger battery, slightly more cumbersome and well built for $30:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B095PR8KLG

I do not know how they directly compare to Aftershokz except being LESS THAN HALF THE PRICE for something very similar that works well for podcasts, cycling, and the gym.

Is this a rip-off of Trekz? Or same company with a new model?

I'm going on year 3 or so with my Trekz. Amazing product, holds up against sweat, stays on while running/biking/etc. If Shockz are at all related to the name brand Trekz, then they should be good.

I agree with the other comment. Just buy one good pair of headphones instead of multiple shitty Chinese versions.

This is the new name of the company that used to be called AfterShockz. They shortened their name to just Shockz a while ago. They are a very well known brand and have an excellent product and customer support. Source: I own a pair Smilie

I have tried the others. Good luck with warrenty claims. Performance with the trekz is superior plus they stand behind their product. At this price no need to try and chase a few dollar savings.

Shokz stands behind their products too.. Contemplating buying a backup pair for when its my fault they stop working. Or gifts.

I've used the Moing for 5 months almost every day. They're plenty good for me. I give the other pairs to my family. So, yes, for under $70 (got the Tokani's for $20!) I've outfitted myself and 2 other people with comparable headphones. But I'm happy for y'all that like your $90 headphones and think they are a great deal. Might I recommend some AirPods. Smilie

As I said, I've never bought the Aftershockz so cannot compare directly. The criticisms of the sound quality in the reviews sound about the same. I'll give them a shot if/when they get in the $30 range.

How are they for making calls on mobile or PC (Teams/Zoom etc). Anyone use them for calls or mainly for listening to music?

The opencomm is what you want for calls. They work well and are comfortable, but the noise cancelling isn't 100% like you'd get with a $200 Plantronics headset. Like, it won't cancel your clicky keys, but it will silence someone speaking a few feet away. However, I like it quite a bit.

To me, the OpenMove microphone quality sounds sufficient for the office. It sounds pretty similar to the OpenComm according to this YouTube test. https://youtu.be/owYe1TuKEhw?t=770 Skip to the 12:50 time stamp.
