Best pair of noise-cancelling headphones on the market right now for an incredible price! Rtings even rated these better than the new XM5s. Unbeatable price when they are normally $350. CamelCamelCamel shows this being the lowest price for these ever on Amazon. I thought the $278 I paid was a steal!

Yeah people are distracted enough as it is, not looking at the road as they're texting or looking at their phone. Cut out the ability to listen, and it would only compound the issue of inattentiveness.

About ~$20 below CCC's record low.

I've got the XM3's on my head right now. They've served me for ~2 years of blissful silence and reliable connectivity. Bass-heavy compared to Sennheiser PXC 550.

Blue on sale for the same price.

The auto ANC "feature" of the XM5 seems like a disaster, the XM4 still looks to be the better choice.

I love these headphones. They've really come in handy when I don't want to hear the happenings of my busy workplace.

How is the noise cancelling on the mic? I'm coming from qc35, and wife always complained I talked loud with the anc on. (Since there's no sidetone to feedback my volume). Also far end complains that my qc35 mic sounds like crap....

If I'm outside, the city noises or even wind makes me inaudible and I have too turn off my headset. There doesn't seem to be a setting in app to modify this. Inside, the mic is pretty good. Not as much as a dedicated voice headset but definitely good enough for video conferencing. Interestingly, side tone seems super loud on calls where I can hear all these noises so hard to hear what someone is saying on the other end, but turns off in video conferencing, again can't seem to fix.

Would these be great for listening to music and videos? How long would the battery last if I don't use ANC? I know these are foldable unlike the new XM5's which is definitely a plus for me.

Their website has an additional 20% right now making it $144. Xm5's are $262.40 though refurbished for anc headphones can be very hit or miss

This seems like a great deal for these headphones new. I found these as an open box buy at Walmart for 199 and took the chance.
They are very similar to my old Grado headphones but way more comfortable. Noise canceling is excellent and they don't get too hot even on several mile runs

Solid deal, grabbed a pair.

Paid about $180 for refurb XM3 a few years ago, and they've been good to me with heavy use, up until the last month or so with some mic distortion. Glad for the upgrade, and seems close enough to the previous model that I feel like I basically know what I'm getting. They aren't perfect, as someone who used to collect headphones in the past, then had to shift to mostly using ANC, this line has always felt like the best fit for me. The sound for music, video, and even games is above average but has it's limitations. Pretty balanced naturally (tho I do usually EQ them), but very little sound stage, isolating like most closed over-ear will end up being.. But comfortable and well-built. Haven't compared ANC or headsets of enough other brands to comment much on that

Which dedicated voice headsets are best for making phone calls ? Any recommendations

I preferred bose qc35 2 over these as i cant wear heavy headphones at all. Comfort takes precedence over sound qlty for me. Would you say these are more comfortable than bose qc35 2 specially the heaviness on the head ?
