I bought this one over their other ones exclusively because of the battery use. I like being able to swap my rechargeable battery when needed to get instant 100% in like 2 seconds of swap time. Going on 3 years now with this mouse. My phones don't seem to hold the same charge after 2 years, it lasts less; I imagine the mouse built-in chargeables would be the same.

The side buttons have a ton of pretravel. Look up "toothpick mod" to fix the issue.

Great feeling mouse until the switch in your left mouse button starts double clicking with single clicks. Which is about a year or two after daily use. Can't ever recommend another Logitech mouse again.

Logitech mice are notorious for their double click issues. Went through like 5 mice over the years. Not sure why I keep buying them. I guess I'm picking this one up, too. I think both companies provide good support.

I am glad it's not just me. I have 3 Logitech mice (home, office and travel) and all of them randomly double click. Sometime it does the double click at the most inopportune time.

This mouse is not for long term use and gamers. You will have Double click issue in months. This mouse is using
OMRON China D2FC-F-7N cheap switches like other Logitech mice. It's ok for normal users though.

I moved from the g305 to a viper ultimate. No qualms with either, really. You can stick a AA to AAA battery adapter in the g305 and a lithium AAA battery to drop the weight a little more. It is a small mouse though, just a heads up for the palm grippers out there. I wanted a bigger mouse, so now I'm on the viper ultimate.
