    Main issue is you can't ever have any lights on around it if mounted on bottom because then the light screws up the camera. I had this for years for my Samsung mounted on top. Then I got an oled and couldn't mount on top so i did bottom and it just was never accurate that way at all

    The camera that sticks out is distracting while watching content.

    I love the idea of a backlight but not at the sacrifice of the viewing experience.

    It appears you can mount the camera below the TV as well.. in my case, I have an entertainment console about 6" below my TV with some decorations (photo frames, etc) that could be used to hide the camera. Maybe I'll give it a shot. Can you comment on how well the backlight color accuracy/speed was when using the camera to sense what was on the screen?

    Love the idea of these but not the idea of sticking a camera on the top of my TV. Are there any of these that work off the signal from the HDMI connector and can keep the aesthetics the same?

    Opposite opinion time.

    I bought these last prime day on a whim and have really enjoyed them. Obi-wan lightsaber duel was a prime example as the red and blue lightsabers swipe across the screen and change the TV backlight with it.

    I'm sure it helps that my TV is mounted with all wires hidden in the walls. Camera doesn't stand out for me and i forget it's there.

    There's 2 more cents for you.

    I have a 75 inch the leds are right on the edge wont fit anything smaller,
    works great I installed the camera right under the tv in between the tv and soundbar, (can hardly see it)

    Worth the regular price. Amazing for video games, cartoons and gci/action heavy movies like marvel or strager things.
    Normal sitcoms and stuff it blends nicely too.

    You can hide it in a remote holder, check on youtube, plenty of ways to hide it. It works well on my C1 55 inch
