So if you buy the NSFW basegame, does that negate the need to buy the NSFW expansion? (Edit: Looked up the card lists, looks like it does, I only spotted 1 card you end up missing from the expansion pack).

Any word on if any expansions are actually worth buying?

Have not played it, only read into it. I get the feeling it might be a bit much for an 8 year old as it requires a good amount of reading. Per some YouTube reviews, even adults will find themselves reading all the cards the first 20 games, and some complain the instructions are not very clear.

My 16 year old son and I sat down to play this but couldn't figure out the directions. Eventually we did a hybrid of what we understood and what we wanted to do. I doubt we would attempt to play again

I am forced to play this with my kids 7-11. We play the vanilla version.

It is a HORRIBLE de-buff slog. Game takes forever because it's much more viable to deny each other win conditions than achieve one.

The kids love it. I hate it. We've had it over a year and they still pull it out now and then.

I enjoy it. My family has played it for a few years, since the kids were 9 and 11. The rules aren't that complex, but it does seem overwhelming at first. Once you play a few games, you realize it's not all that deep.

And it's definitely the type of game that seems like it's over and then, bam, another 20 minutes.

Cutesy, funny cards and lots of chances to frustrate other players made it a hit for us.

Played this with a mixed-gendered group of 30 y/o drunks during a ski trip. First time for all of us except the owner.

It was quite popular amongst most of the group. we played it several evenings. It did a bit of explaining from the experienced player before most of us could get the rules to play sufficiently well. I would agree with a previous post that game can get slogged - it plays much slower than exploding kittens with debuffing (and preventing wins) being the name of the game but in a much less refined manner than other card games like Munchkin.

Tempted to pull the trigger at this price; seems like a good deal for a decently fun game. Then again, anything that keeps CAH from getting pulled out is a plus in my book.

I've played the base game with several expansions added. In my opinion the game is easier with 3-4 players but gets way out of hand when you have more than 5 or so players.
It ends up taking forever without anyone ever winning and gets to a point where players just want the game to finally end; at that point no one cares about winning.
The game is still fun though but should never be played with that many people.

Has anyone played the NSFW version? I pulled the trigger and purchased it.
