Do not pinch brake or hydraulic hoses. They are reinforced and pinching them is just asking for issues. Once a brake or any hydraulic line is pinched the hose structure is compromised which can lead to big issues since it is a pressure line (even a miniscule leak in a brake line can be deadly). Use a cap or plug for pressure lines. This is great for fuel or vacuum lines since they are not reinforced.

What makes you so righteous that only something you would want matters? I would be willing to bet that this would outsell half the shit on the front page right now.

Just because you don't have a use for it doesn't mean there isn't a lot of people who will. Anyone who does any automotive repair, has a lawnmower, snowblower or anything thing else with a small engine will love these. There are also a decent amount of people who don't even know these exist and would benefit greatly from them.

They lock, so you can pinch off a liquid line

Forceps, but for hoses in equipment instead of people/animals πŸ˜›

I need to remove a carb from a snowblower, but looks like these might be too big for clamping a pretty small hose.

But are you reallllllly sure? I thought the same, but in the end I convinced myself I did indeed need it πŸ˜›

But really, you could probably just use a clamp or a clamp with 2 small pieces of wood (if the clamp heads were too small. Guess I talked myself out of needing it. Damnit

They will most definitely work on that, so long as you have to get the head of it in the space. I've used them for just that.
