you can have upto 4 years validity on a Norton subscription. Thats their max limit.. Mine is valid till 2026. I usually chat with their customer service when I have 12 months available in my 4 year validity and ask them to extend my validity with the new key purchased from Amazon/Newegg. Key doesnt expire. Purchase and keep it with you and contact their chat when you are ready. Doing this for 6+ years

Yep. I switched to something else 6 months ago, after using Norton for 6 years or so. And about 12 years ago I switched from Norton to something else, after Norton became a resource hog, then Norton improved for a while, so I switched back. But it's back to being a resource hog (not quite as bad as it was when I switched the first time).

Plus Norton builds in pop-up windows that you can't turn off, promoting various products. Had they given me a setting where I could shut this down, I might have stuck with Norton, but this was the straw that broke the camel's back.

A more minor detail: Norton spun off from Symantec about 2 years ago - so you're not getting Symantec's expertise now.

Thanks, I pick up a deal like this every year. This is the lowest I think I have seen. When my renewal comes around next year I load the new code in my account. I then request they merge the accounts, sometimes I have to call in.

No, it's not. I have it running on 5 devices.

Edit: I use Premium with the backup feature.

Disagree. I constantly have to "Turn on silent mode" to keep my laptop fan from whining.

I trust Norton. That's why I was looking at this offer. And so too for suggestions on how to disable Norton when I'm offline without having to keep re-enabling silent mode. Folks, any ideas?
