For new Tesla owners, cheaper to buy this and use the included J adapter than comes with the car, than to buy the $200 mobile connector. Only downfall is you lose the ability to use higher amp adapters, and the extra step of using the J adapter.

I actually charge with a 6-20 outlet (which plug is included with this), and get 11ish miles of charge per hour. Charged and ready to go every morning no problem. Point being that lower amperage may suffice for you with overnight charging.

Yes it is. Really, I think 30 Amp should be minimum if you're actually paying for it

Works for me since I don't have the 30 Amp wiring and I don't drive that far to justify getting an electrician out to put one in. Also, I ran over my level 1 charger few times. It still works but nice to have a backup.

Wtf. Is you're going to pay someone to put in a 240 in your garage, go with a 14-50.

Fine if you need a spare level 1 to travel with. I bought this same model to keep in the car when I wall-mounted the level 2 that came with my EV.

If you're looking for your primary charger, this ain't it.

I've actually been considering having a 240 installed in my garage to hook up my generator for emergencies. Being able to charge off of it would be an added bonus.

6-20 is easier to get if your box can't support an extra 50amps

I've been using this to trickle charge a Tesla and a i3 for years (different brand but exactly the same) good for about 50mi of range overnight on 120 or 100mi on 240

Even on 120v it provides 15k+ miles of range per year.

About three or four. Depending on your daily driving, that may be all that you'd need.

I have this charger for emergency s and keep it in my car. I bought a converting plug to from a 240 dryer plug to this unit to use as well. Works really well if you are travelling and can reach.
