The Verizon one is $399 one time charge, for those on Verizon. I bought that last night. Not sure why it's $100 cheaper when it has the mmwave chip inside, but I'll take it.

Thanks for the heads up! Was sad that Amazon was OOS @ $499 so this is even better. Getting a $300 work rebate for a new phone so I guess its finally time to retire the Pixel 3...

Is Verizon version unlocked? I'm on Google Fi and would like to get at this price. Surprised Google is not throwing this phone at discount for Fi users but are selling Samsung's at discount.

No, they are not unlocked. I'll be honest, I don't know the process of unlocking a Verizon phone to use elsewhere, but it used to be that you had to have service for a certain period of time before Verizon would unlock it. Hopefully someone else can weigh in.
Here is their policy, but ymmv.
Postpay Device Unlocking Policy
Devices that you purchase from Verizon are locked for 60 days after purchase. Devices that you purchase from one of our authorized retailers are locked for 60 days after activation. After 60 days, we will automatically remove the lock unless the device is deemed stolen or purchased fraudulently. Following the 60 day lock period, we do not lock our phones at any time.

The only advantage of the Verizon one is the mmWave frequencies (UWB) that the unlocked version does not have. To get those frequencies in an unlocked pixel, you have to move to the pro version. UWB is not readily available to a lot of folks and signal penetration is not as strong as regular 5G. Not worth it to most.

It's $100 cheaper than the unlocked. That's what makes it worth it.
