What RTX 3070 $1,299 Legion 5 Pro deal are you referring to? I only see the Walmart Legion 5 Pro deal @ $1,399.00 (https://slickdeals.net/f/15845695-lenovo-legion-5-pro-laptop-3070-1399), which is $200 more.

A lot of gaming laptops seem to have throttling issues. Is Lenovo legion 5 pro supposed to have the "best" cooling solution? I was looking at Acer and Asus. Thanks!

From my personal experience, I can say the Legion 5 pro with RTX 3070 and Ryzen 7 has no throttling issues under heavy gaming load. Have never seen the GPU temp go above 75 degrees.
