Paid $55 through an in-store clearance. And it prints perfectly dark for me. Comes with a trial toner.
It's a harder sell though at $110 -- worth a trip to your local store, don't trust Brickseek (they haven't been accurate at all for this product).

Also, for the price… it's not $110. This is super inflated and they're just getting rid of old stock. If you want this printer this badly then by all means purchase it. Just trying to save some people money as I have this same exact printer and it sucks.

You should be able to adjust the "toner density" to the darkness you prefer. If you see streaks maybe the black cartridge is a starter kit and requires a little shake left and right to even the powder distribution inside.
I would of bought but somebody local sold me a brother dcp l-2550dw for $60 with a new 760 cartridge.

I only kept it cause printer deals were non existent for all in ones. (miss those brother deals)
