FYI this item is like a matte black not like a black stainless color like the image shows..

I bought one a few weeks back. It was missing the little rubber pad on one of the legs. I had to return to the store and they swiftly reordered me a replacement unit(I couldn't just get another rubber pad). Today the replacement arrived at my door. Yay! BUT….. it's got a small broken piece of plastic on the door frame. I give up. The QC is not what it should be. Pretty disappointed with this Insignia brand.

I also bought at the sametime and it came with missing little rubber on one side but I decided to keep it by considering all the replacement hassle. That missing rubber keeps the fryer shaking. We baked few times and top rack cooks food faster but bottom takes times and have to swap inmid. Built material feels cheap plastic and easily breakable and it gets extremely hot on all the sides while cooking. So be cautious while using especially with younger kids.

I had a previous version of this one, which was recalled months ago. I don't recommend it. It is so much harder to clean and maintain compared to the basket type air fryer. Look for the basket type air fryer if you are in the market to buy one.

I agree with this comment. I own a Sur La table oven door style air fryer and it's a pain to keep clean and a pain to flip food since you have to use mitts to pull the tray out to flip. I recommend a basket style air fryer as well.

I don't see how a basket style is easier to clean. With a tray, you can just line it with foil. Can't do that with the basket.
