imo, it's prob the best capture card at this price.. and, imo, better than elgato's overpriced 200$ one.. this one actually has 1440p@144 passthrough.. one thing that took me a long time to figure out is how to disable the HDCP (to stream my ipad).. you have to download some buried program on their site. finding it is hard.. using it is easy.
I don't appreciate the RGB
highly recommend this one tho.
Is this typically used for consoles? I'm looking for a capture card to stream games off my PC through OBS. Currently on a rtx3080 with a ryzen 9 5900x and 128gb ram but the stream quality is not smooth.
I would just build another dedicated pc to handle streaming. Running everything in 1 pc will cause performance hit no matter how powerful your computer is.
Lol. What a horrendous suggestion. A 5900x, 128gb and 3080 will handle streaming no problem and you'll see very little difference in performance for most games unless you're trying to do 4k gaming at the same time or something.

Are you on wifi or Ethernet? Internet speed up/down? Your system spec shouldn't give you streaming problems.
