Best Buy chat was able to cancel the TV for me surprisingly. The TV and sound bar are separate items on the receipt so it worked out well. You should have no problem doing it in store too I'm guessing. Came to $432 with tax for the sound bar and will be available for pickup tomorrow! Best prime day deal for me this year didn't come from Amazon!

*EDIT* I received a cancellation email from Samsung for the sound bar. I'm not sure what happened and am currently following up with Best Buy on this. Please do not follow these instructions until I'm able to clear this up. Your best bet is to try and return in store so you know if they will allow you to do so or not

thanks guys. i'm in the BB chat queue now, says 68 min wait. hopefully they can assist.

i requested the previous chat log (when i requested they cancel just the tv) be emailed to me at the end of the session but I haven't received it yet. but hopefully they can look at that and see that they goofed and offer to price match, but at this point i'm not counting on it.

bummer! i was already looking up reviews on the soundbar and getting excited for it. just goes to show you that it's not yours until it's in your possession. hopefully someone learns from my experience. i'll keep updating as this saga plays out

I picked my order yesterday and return TV back immediately and they gave a return receipt with zero dollar and today I got 108.74 dollars refund from Samsung. This should help all those who are not sure what to do with TV.

Yes, got mine from Dell and added some JBL headphones so the total came to 601 and change so used my Amex $120.00 off $599. So total came to $427.05 including 10% cashback. Not sure if Dell charges a return/restocking fee on it so will try to sell it first.

Definitely go for 990b. Imo it such a better system . With 990b it sounded so good out the box I didn't even have to mess with any setting.

To answer my own question: According to a Samsung rep, I can return the TV to BB and get the full 399 back. Additionally, it's a non-issue if the item has been opened. This seems to be in line with the BB partner return policy per their website. I'll try this later today...
