Bought and then cancelled when I realized this is only Bluetooth. If you want the wifi smart strips (that work with google home or Alexa) you have to pay about 32 — they aren't on sale.

Now that I have Home Assistant up and running with Govee.... I'm sad from the lights I have that are just BT only now.... waiting for the day they break so they can be replaced.

I have these bluetooth-only controlled lights. The Govee app allows me to set a schedule where they automatically turn on and off. Fits my needs perfectly (set it and forget it).

Same here. It just took a few minutes to configure using their app, which wasn't bad (though predictably, it tries to advertise other products). I almost never use it, as I keep the light color constant, and have it turn on/off based on a schedule.

Didn't wanna use the app so I spend the extra $4-$5 on two sets with the remote.

Still a good deal though 👍

Govee products are legit and I would say the best bang for your buck that you can get. You can get better by going with philips hue but you'll be paying 10x more

I'm not sure what fake spot says but in my opinion this is the best brand (besides the bulbs) not names Philips Hue and way cheaper. I bought some randomly a few months ago and now I own 30 of their devices.

The bulbs are ok. They seem comparable to the Kasa bulbs (which I just swapped out). The cool thing about their bulbs is that if you have the immersion camera on your TV/monitor, you can sync the bulbs to it and have extra immersion lighting. It's pretty cool for gaming and all controllable by Alexa.

I haven't tried that for sure, but searching the Customer Q & A on that page for the word "join" results in this from the manufacturer: "It's not recommended to connect 2 strip lights in series due to the power issue. The voltage drop may cause the strip light showing different colors if they are connected continuously."

In general, the issue is that the voltage converter for these types of strips have limitations on their power output, and that limits the number of strips that can be connected. I suppose you could get two of these (and pay twice as much), then set each to the same settings using the app. The total length (and cost) might be more than you'd want to spend.

I have one set of these single-color, motion-activated lights that have been working great for nearly three years: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...TF8&psc=1. Having them on one side of the bed was fine for me. I hope this helps.
