The Lord Of The Rings: 50th Anniversary Edition https://a.co/d/dxjVNnr
Here are some of the good LOTR versions, in no particular order:
1. *One volume Alan Lee illustrated edition.*
*ISBN:* 9780007525546
*Price:* $75
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pWi-4o5DSZ4
Illustrated by Alan Lee, decent binding, newer printings of this use the corrected text.
2. *Three volume 60th anniversary edition*
*ISBN:* 9780007581146
*Price:* $100 box set
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=259vD4e
These use the corrected text, and have the closest covers to Tolkien's design. They also have a bunch of other stuff as he wanted it, like red ring text and book of mazarbul facsimiles. If you get the box set you'll also get the reader's companion.
3. *One volume "deluxe edition"*
*ISBN:* 9780007182367
*Price:* $100
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VxdDRo1
Nice binding, corrected text, all the "Tolkien's intent" stuff as previous (except the covers).
4. *One volume 50th anniversary edition*
*ISBN:* 0618517650
*Price:* $60
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8zaBk9n
Binding arguably better than previous (it's pretty subjective), but none of the "tolkien's intent" stuff. Corrected text.
5. *One volume sofcover deluxe edition.*
*ISBN:* 9780544273443
*Price:* $25
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OS7L1xh
Nice binding for a softcover. Corrected text.
6. *The Folio Society three volume edition*
*Price:* $150
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W89u0uF
Really nice binding, illustrated by the Queen of Denmark.

This looks like one link for the Lee Illustrated box set (~$111) plus scroll for adding The Great Tales box set for ~$150.

Avoid the millennium edition. It looks ok in photos but is small and inferior quality.

Also, does the deal posted in OP include much of Tolkien's intent?

Also, does the deal posted in OP include much of Tolkien's intent?
In terms of Tolkien's intent, the deal posted in OP has all of it:
- it's printed in two colors, allowing the ring inscription to be in red as Tolkien intended
- it has Tolkien's cover designs before each volume
- the book of mazarbul pages are included as Tolkien wanted
