Played at launch and loved it, but haven't played since. I guess this is a pretty good reason to pick it up again! I never played the DLC. Can you just jump right in and play it, or do you need to relearn the base game?

You can play DLC (at least Ancient Gods 1) before completing base game. Mechanics are same, plus you don't need to level up to unlock big and better guns, but you get your ass handed to you more often than not.

Totally agreed, the two DLC are hard. I gave up and used a trainer, since I played just for the story.

No. But you can get "Doom Eternal Year One Pass" Steam DLC code for ~$7 from key shops. It has part 1 & 2 of "The Ancient Gods".

Yeah, I should start using a trainer myself. Which trainer would you recommend?
Initial search online indicated WeMod but pls let me know which one you use.

My games are on PC platform/Steam acct/Ubisoft acct etc.

I use trainers from Fling. They make updates all the time and I never have issues. I usually can find trainers from new games from them.
