kinda want the sf2 12 in 1, dont need it...i have a modded one with thousands of games.

sometimes i just miss the simplicity of a out of the box one though. a modded one will never be kid friendly since you can open menus and mess up settings by randomly banging on buttons as kids do, and theres no simple way to properly shut a Raspberry Pi down without going into a menu (actually a dude had rigged a foolproof shutdown relay online, but it got really complicated).

i'd go sf2 all the way though. although with 5 different versions of sf2 it's really a 7 in 1 in my book, theres good variety in those 7.

the new ones btw are supposedly inferiors, the cabinet can block some of the view for tall people and the raised siding can get in the way of your hands and rub off. otoh i assume the joysticks are out of the box competent now at least. i'd still switch for sanwa sticks personally. which were about 20-25 each when i was buying so not too expensive an upgrade,

funny how a few years later 299 is like when these used to clearance for 150 (i picked up my original sf2 cab to mod for 150). our money being worth half as much as a few years ago might not be too far off!

Spot on about the Raz pi thing! The kids yank the plug on mine to shut it down, and I got a corrupted image now.

It's the same reason I stopped sailing the seas for a lot of different media. I enjoy the convenience of things just working, even if it costs a few extra pennies for the privilege

Confused. The only pics I see are the Street Fighter one and the Pac Man one. Neither seems to have a trackball (or spinner), but the Atari edition (which I don't see on the page, only Capcom and Namco) includes a ton of trackball games.

Am I missing something?

Yeah I don't see the Atari version either, that would be the one I am interested in.
I already have the Pac-Man.

Preach, Brother. I get raised eyebrows from young folk when I tell them I take out from the library and rip it at home rather than sail the open seas. They don't understand risk/reward. I'll go slow if it means I don't mess up my $3000+ PC rig.

The desription at QVC lists games for Atari, Namco (Pacman) and Capcom.
The post here lists Atari or Capcom (street fighter)

However the sale is for Capcom or Namco.

The Namco option :
Namco: Pac-Man, Pac-Land, Pac-Man Plus, Super Pac-Man, Pac & Pal, Pac-Mania, Galaxian, Galaga, Dig Dug, Dig Dug II, Mappy, and Rompers
