Then your laptop probably having some quality control or firmware issues. I always install all the drivers in my Legion 5 Pro (5800H, RTX 3070) from the corresponding manufacturers' site instead of Lenovo site and never had any issues. For AMD, I simply download it from AMD site for my 5800H APU and for nVidia, it is via G-Forece experience and I never had any of such issues.
You cant download directly from nvidia. I tried this, it will only accept drivers from Lenovo

Have you checked if there are any new Bios available? Even if it is not showing up in Lenovo Vantage -> Check for Update, head over to the support website and check there by providing exact model or serial #.
Yes to all of this. I even manually downloaded the drivers. The BIOS is up to date.

Yes you can. Do it inside of GeForce experience if you're having trouble.

Like others have said you cannot install Nvidia drivers that do not come from the Lenovo site.

Also according to a user replying to a thread on the Nvidia the Walmart edition does not support G-Sync:
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/gefo...a-2022-le/

This is despite my reaching out to Lenovo and they claimed the panel should support G-Sync.

$2220 for 6800H and 3070.

https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/p/la...en101g0021

I think Lenovo (and other oems) give dibs on new laptops to retailers, and in the meantime overprice the laptops on their site. People will see the high price on the OEM site and think that the retailer price is a deal. When, in fact, the retailer is just normal price.

That's how I see things. Plus, BF is coming…

Lenovo.com does have banger deals every so often though. I got the regular Legion 5 5800H and 3070 for $1150 off a SD post. Super happy with it, but if these new 5 Pros drop to the deals last year, I may have to jump again.

I am just going to return mine. This laptop was not as advertised. It has a very nice screen, but not GSync is a dealbreaker and I would rather get my money back instead of waiting around for nvidia/lenovo to fix something that may not be fixable. I am 0 for 2 with laptops so far.

My 6800h one arrived just now, planning to keep it but had I seen this deal a couple of days ago I would've had little bit more trouble with choosing.

Fwiw, more storage on this one as well and most likely slightly higher battery usage.

Keep in mind discover has 5% cash back for PayPal and Walmart allows PayPal.

As for CB I believe most Walmart cb offer only includes certain departments and electronics are not eligible for CB. I could be wrong though.
I wonder, if you use a credit card that extends warranty, but you use it with paypal as the go between, if you still get the extended warranty...

Use Display Driver Uninstaller to completely uninstall the factory drivers.

First, download the latest driver from Videocardz and put your laptop in Airplane mode

If you parlay the issue well enough with tech support, you can get lenovo to eventually compensate you with a better model, assuming that the time to "fix" this issue takes through to the next product cycle. Two failed attempts leads to corporate stepping in.

> Walmart Protection Plan by Allstate - 2-Year - $59.00

at 59, seems like a decent price for peace of mind at least 2 years..

Ive sent in tickets and spoken to two chat reps. Both were worthless. I've already boxed it up and will drop it off at Walmart. I hope Lenovo can fix this, but I am not waiting around for that to happen.

FYI, if anyone is reading this thread, my laptop is the 3060/6800H laptop. It is not referring to this laptop actually being mentioned here.

I'd love to know if GSync works for the 3070/12700H laptop.

maybe take it somewhere else, it's a joke this thread has become about you and your laptop woes, and not about the laptop in the deal.
