Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

I googled the model and it shows on sale at $89 from $129. Of course Wally site shows $279.99 to make you think the deal is that much better.

This is probably as cheap as you can go for a basic laptop for email, web surfing and everyday activities.

Install Linux on this and you could have a cheap laptop that works fairly well

If you don't mind a TN panel, this one has really solid specs. I've been using the 11 1/2" version for about two years with no complaints. I always have the screen directly in front of me so I don't mind TN panels.

This is not full HD. It's 1366 x 768 LCD.
For me, the text looks blurry with 14 inch screen at that res.

For a 14" screen this resolution is too low. Not worth it.

I really have no problem with text clarity on a 11 1/2" TN panel. Is it really that bad moving to a 14 incher?

Yes, I use TN panels for gaming and don't have a problem with them. It's the resolution at 14inches. If you use the HDMI port, you could get full HD on a monitor. I guess it's personal preference.
