They already make massive profit, it isn't as tho higher production prices are forcing them into the red...

I think there's several factors at play here. They're moving to purely sustainable packaging which means more cardboard and less plastic. The global costs of living have increased and hopefully they're paying their engineers to compensate. I dunno if you've ever followed knock off Lego instructions but it's not the simple Zen like experience you get from their careful engineering.

Picked up the Death Star Trench Run since it is likely going up in price in august, as well as the Hoth ATST that is $10 off.

Paid with PayPal with Discover Card as that is 5% cash back this quarter.

Not all sets are going up though. Mostly larger sets aimed at older builders, but not even all of those are going up.

Yeah, noticed the same thing. Although they may be raising them in stages and maybe they won't bother raising sets that are on the way out.

My understanding is that it's transportation costs that are driving the price increases.
