I also got it for $99... I can see the benefit of the USB-C cable and I'm not huge on the old stand .. but I don't know that is worth the $25 for my setup.

Really liking having it so far though.
Likewise got mine last week and absolutely love it for playing traditional tabletop RPGs. Sound effects, rolling (with dice animations in roll20!) and more.
The removable USB-C is really only handy if you want to shorten the cord. It's moderately long for a desktop computer under a desk and reaching up to near the keyboard. If you want it longer, you can just use a USB M-F extender.
I don't know that it's worth the upgrade unless the stand is much better (the mk 1 is fine and foldable).
I daily use two v.1 Streamdecks for CAD and Sketchup work, especially with two (I purchased these before the XL was released), the original stands aren't great and flopped around and collapsed. With the improved stand and the USB-C, I'd purchase the v.2 for $25 more each. I ended up having a dual stand 3D printed.
I don't stream but have been wondering how I could use this as a WFH adhd software dev...
* streamlining WFH stuff like switching audio inputs/outputs when i plug/unplug a dock, put on headphones, etc
* panic button to kill all my non-work apps when I realize i've gone way off task
* ...
I'm going to spend way more time farking with this than I will save time.
