What is the point of this exactly? It barely provides any shade unless you're there right at the sun's peak for the day, and if there's even a hint of wind it won't keep things dry during rain. So - $700 plus tax for a decorative covering?

It's a nice dog house. Dog house to house your expensive grill and you when you need to sit in the hot sun grilling while everybody parties inside.

You can install some sun block shades/drape on the sides.

Dimensions are:

7.81' L x 5.35' W x 7.63' H

For reference, imagine standing on a sheet of plywood with your grill in front of you and an extra 12" behind you (or go to your local home center and roll a similar grill onto a sheet of plywood and try not to get kicked out before you finish).

A handy person could probably still build one to their own specifications for less than $700 (maybe not from cedar depending on your area), but convenience costs money, too.

I have this and live in New England. My green egg is covered in dust and it stays completely dry even during noreasters. Plenty of space for me to stand under it and stay dry as well or keep me and the tools out of the sun. The extra shelf space is fantastic.

I highly recommend this product

Lol - my sister and I were looking at this on Sunday at Sam's Club. The construction seems super shoddy at most - wood feels super cheap (doesn't feel remotely dense), the steel roof also looks like it's literally just tacked on. The metal shelves feel nice though.

Going by descriptions of it's overall small footprint, why would this cost anywhere near 1k to begin with? That's about what you spend on a full sized yardistry gazebo @ costco

yardistry gazebo is 12x10 but it's $1599 at my costco. This thing was $699 at my sam's club and it is not small. It looks quite good

The competitor tot he yardistry gazebo is $1799 at my sams and it looks nicer. Not sure if it is better quality or not.

I'm pretty sure a google search would come up with some blueprints on how to build one. Or a YouTube video. I'm inclined to do some searching now lol
