I just called Boost , their customer service barely spoke English
got transferred to the cancelation department
the woman named Amanda told me that this is the price and the device is prepaid and I will not be charged if I don't use the device
If I want to use the device then I can buy a plan from their website.

I hope this helps

Any limitations On How I Use My Device? If you get a Device from DISH Wireless or a DISH Wireless authorized retailer without paying full price (MSRP) for the Device, you agree (1) within 60 days to activate and use this Device on the DISH Wireless network and (2) not to resell, trade in, or export, or participate or profit in the resale, trade in, or export of the Device to a third party until you have activated and used the Device on the DISH Wireless network and met all your other financial and contractual obligations to us. If you do this without meeting your obligations, we reserve the right to take any action we deem necessary, including charging you for the difference between the Device's full price and the price you paid for it, and seeking recovery of related damages. If you have a separate agreement with Boost to acquire, purchase, or lease a Device, any restrictions on resale in that agreement will also apply, so please refer to the terms of any such agreement to understand your rights to resell your Device. Any tampering with, reprogramming, reflashing, or unlocking of this Device without DISH Wireless's permission violates DISH Wireless's and third parties' rights under state and federal laws and could subject you to civil or criminal liability.

If you need to return it because you're worried about getting charged, but don't want to pay the $25 restock fee, you could just activate it for a month for $15 instead.

Hypothetically, if you order this and do not activate it, Boost might possibly charge you the full MSRP for the hot spot. Theres some questions of what kind of activation would be needed/sufficient to comply with that ToS that's been posted.

This isn't possible or even legal as no contract was signed.... a check mark is not binding...

PayPal has "Get return shipping on us", 12 per year. May use it if needed.

How do you cancel an order after it's been placed? I called the Boost mainline and keep getting the run around on finding someone who can cancel it?

EDIT: I finally got through to someone who claims a request for cancellation was put in. I had to talk to someone in Tech Support? Yeah, this was a great lesson learned.

Thank you for that info. This corroborates well with the terms and condition of the sale you're forced to agree to before finalizing the order. Hopefully this dispels the misinformation the trolls are spreading in this thread.
No one is denying the terms and conditions. Question is how would they enforce it? I can go online, use gift card for payment and use every neighbor's name and address from my neighborhood. Does it mean they will all get sent to collections?
It's ok to make mistakes, relax and move on!!

You don't sound like an attorney : /

A checked box can be legally binding depending on the situation.

Yeah I mean this sounds a lot like FUD but I can't say with 100% certainty they're wrong. I plan on activating one for a month since I do want to check out boosts network. I really want to know if I could use one of the other prepaid plans instead (probably not)

how do they charge you a 25 dollar restocking fee on something that costs 2 dollars? Usually restocking fees are taken out of the total cost you already paid and you are refunded the difference. I have never seen a restocking fee be an additional charge.

Half of the people here are saying the CS agents told them they won't be charged, and half of them are saying you will be charged. There's only one way to find out! In 60 days.

It's better to double check the order status to make sure it got cancelled.
I have go to "order status" -> input the "order number" & "email address" -> Order Status showing "CANCELLED"
Shows cancelled there as well, so I guess I'm good.

No one is getting charged. There is no specific contract that you agreed to. The terms and conditions is a generic one and cant be applied. You can't charge random people without verification. I have 6 phones i purchased and everyone of those companies say they will charge full price if not activated. Guess what, im using it as a Wi-Fi device, no cell service and not one of those companies are charging me full price for the phone.

It's funny watching people jump hoops to cancel a $1 order.
