I just called Boost , their customer service barely spoke English
got transferred to the cancelation department
the woman named Amanda told me that this is the price and the device is prepaid and I will not be charged if I don't use the device
If I want to use the device then I can buy a plan from their website.

I hope this helps

Is this unit locked to boost only?
I got a set of them a few months ago and on eBay sellers selling unlocks for like 5 to get unlock code. Worked both times for me. Oh and I did not activate in boost mobile at all. I am using visible SIM card in it and works fine as hot spot

Very interesting information. How do you enter the unlock code?

Boost Mobile is owned by DISH. All products on the site are sold by DISH. Will they enforce? Hard to say, especially if a virtual CC is used and they cannot automatically charge you the difference.

I had to call in and even then it was only to submit a ticket to cancel - not sure if it will cancel. The CSR had no way on her available tools to look up the order and cancel immediately.

Did you have to do anything else to get this to work with Visible other then the unlock code?

I am searching slickdeals for "boost hotspot" and I don't see any $1 boost hotspot appearing a few months ago or anywhere else. I do see the $9.99 deal but that was just June 24th 2022. How much did you pay for each and what was the terms?

So much unnecessary paranoia. Some corporation is going to up-charge people $50 for a tiny battery pack, really? And CC companies would back up this corporation over customers? Lol most CC will reimburse just because "item didn't meet expectations"

So no extra charges or attempts to collect funds? How much were they when you bought them?

Visible sim almost work on anything. I use it on my LG Tablet and T-Mobile T9 hotspot. All you need is add VSBLINTERNET in apn setting on hotspot.

It says a discount of $49. If they charge again I will open a dispute with my credit card company.

Why would one return anything for $1? Your time alone would outweigh the price.
People buying these in bulk planning to resell are all Burundian, $1 USD is already like 3 months salary. Global salaries are not consistent, or we'd have fixed outsourcing and environmental pollution.
