Asics Nimbus 23 are running shoes for those who like a lot of cushioning.

Lots of sizes in a few colorways for men: $75
Very limited sizes (I only see 5, 5.5) in a few colorways for women: $45 NLA

I've been wearing Asics shoes everyday since their model 17. The version 23 of the Nimbus have no durability at all - do not waste your money, even $75 on version 23.
- Asics changed the top shoe material they are using in version 23 and I have 2 and 3 inch rips in my version 23 that has not happened in any other earlier model I own. I still have 3 pairs of version 19 that I use from time to time and each of those earlier models have just one hole where my toe poked through. On my version 23, which I have been wearing every day for the past 10 months (even have them on now) have 2 long rips in the fabric on the left foot and 3 half inch rips on the right foot. Because of this I have been forced to look at another manufacturer (any recommendations welcome, so far I've ordered some Innov-8 and K-swiss options?).
I've read the new 24 model is just as bad as the 23. In short, don't buy the version 23, even at $75!

My wife gets holes near her big toes as well that didn't used to happen in older shoes when the plastic webbing graphic went fatter down. She wears a wide.
Doesn't happen to me though, I wear a wide also

I'm seeing $89. I run at least 4 miles a day in Nimbus 23s. I've got a few hundred miles on mine and they've been great. Always had a great experience with the Cumulus as well even though it's a little cheaper.

I was looking at hoka shoes the other day and saw EastBay prices are a lot lower than other companies. They even beat Hoka website themselves and EastBay had all sizes in stock, while Hoka has only one odd size left.

Made me very suspicious of it so I did some research on the website. Looks like a lot of people get denied when they try to make a return, and some say their package was stated delivered and they didn't receive anything which scared me off.

Anyone else had experience with them? Their prices are very competitive

Been using them since around 1989.

There are sales across the whole site on many shoes. A pair of shoes I bought last week after coupon is cheaper now without a coupon. Also, something is wonky with their website if you're logged in. Use guest checkout.

Great deal if you happen to find your size. I used wide nimbus for a few years but need X wide now which doesn't appear to be part of this sale.

Just once I would love to see a 13.5 other than directly from Asics (or just about any show manufacturer). It cannot be that uncommon to be between 13-14...
Especially for the Sassy Sasquatch community. Very common size for teenage Squatches

I used to run in gel nimbus but then I found Mizuno wave sky 2. These were great and bought a few pairs of them. They are currently on wave sky 5 now and I have 2 pairs of them. Try them out.

I have that problem too. My right big toe natively is pitched slightly upward (at rest) and even with the shortest nail it still wears through. I have a good hack though. With your new shoes tear off a square piece of Gorilla brand duct tape and carefully reach into the shoe (might have to undo laces and pull the tongue up) and stick the square to the ceiling of the shoe where your big toe touches. That tape in particular will stay stuck no matter how much you sweat and will preserve the top of your shoe from wearing a hole. I get 400 miles on a pair and the tape sticks! Socks on the other hand... I switched to Bombas with lifetime guarantee\exchange and so far since Christmas last year I have not worn a hole. I may have defeated the hole-making tendency of my right foot!

Had the same problem with Nimbus 23 and it only lasted for 6 weeks. About 2 inch rips on the left shoe and the right shoe is starting to rip as well.

I got 2 pair. One is the knit model with more elastic ankle vs traditional. I've only run in the knits and there is a huge issue vs 22. Something with the gel pad where the bottom of my feet burn. Friction I assume. I switched back to 22 and ran 8 miles without any 'burn'. Considering returning the other pair of 23s but unsure if it's the knit model. Either way I can use them for gym or walking. But wth
