Tenacity has its specific uses(such as pre-emergent at seeding/overseeding, or bentgrass), but for the most part you're better off using herbicides tailored to the weeds you're targeting:

- For general broadleaf weeds 3-way 2,4D, mecoprop, dicamba
- For stubborn broadleaf weeds (chickweed, clover, wild violet, virginia buttonweed, creeping charlie) - triclopyr
- For crabgrass - quinclorac + methylated seed oil as surfactant
- For sedges - sulfentrazone

RoundUp for Lawns should target all of the above with a single mix. Combined with timely pre-emergent applications (early spring for crabgrass, late summer for Poa Annua if applicable), that should cover 99% of weed situations.

Great weed killer. You'll need surfactant and may need blue dye if you want to visually mark the area where you applied it

I've been applying this once a season in for two years in a row, and it's worked well for a lot of weeds, including dandelion, crabgrass and others that I don't know the names of. One that it hasn't been really effective on is Creeping Charlie. Any suggestions for that?

I bought their version of cyprimethrin on eBay, when I broke the seal and looked inside there were a lot of chunks like it had sat for a long time. it doesn't have an expiration date, but I couldn't return it. Not saying that couldn't happen elsewhere, but as an Amazon prime member I return anything if its not perfect!

I diligently did Scott's 4 step this year. I think weed and feed (Step 2) took care of creeping Charlie for me

No. Prodiamine is to create a barrier so that nothing new can grow (pre-emergent). Tenacity claims to be both a pre-emergent and post-emergent (kills many weeds that have grow, and has lasting power to prevent weeds from growing for 6-8 weeks IIRC?). Personally, I've got far more results out of a three-way post emergent and while spot treating with tenacity has been effective, you end up with bright white weeds for several weeks before they die.

A great way to get into this hobby is to checkout the website of your local state university extension campus for lawn care. Alternatively, you can go with something like the Scott's 4 step or ace has a cheaper brand with similar performance.
