Assuming you are ok with the Samsung OS, why would you not go with the Galaxy A53 5G for 349 ? Its a superior phone in terms of the screen and the battery life, I would like an honest argument. Need one for dad. Thank you

Trading in a Galaxy A71 5G for $300. Now lets just hope Google's trade in partner don't try to scam like Samsung's trading partner does.

Hmm. OnePlus 7T trade in for $280...I assume the camera is better on pixel 6A but it has a worse 60hz smaller screen and less RAM (6 vs 8)

Debating if getting a used 3A to trade in is worth

What stops them from saying "oops the trade-in is only worth $50" since the trade-in value is only an "estimate"?
They won't say "it's only worth $50" they'll say "it's only worth $15."

one horror story (of many) [reddit.com]

Pixel 6 was just on sale for $499 and has a larger display, 90hz, more ram, wireless charging, and probably more. This doesn't seem worth it. If the fingerprint scanner is really that bad on the 6 then it seems like it would make more sense to hold out for the 7.
This would be true if you were paying full price for the 6a at $449, but if you have a trade-in worth $300, then the equation tips in the 6a's favor.

trading in the 4a 5g for the pixel 6 is only good for $84.

Total price for me comes to $482.68, and $300 for the trade-in value. Tempted to upgrade my 3a at this price.
This would be my first google pre-order and trade in, anybody been through the process and can share their experience? I haven't purchased the latest phone since...ever actually lol.

Not that bad of a deal for a backup phone.
Purchased a 3A for $75 and will trade it in for $300. Applied $50 Google Credit and will sell the buds for $100.

I have a good 4a, and for $300 trade in (paid $375 for it 2 years ago), so get a new bigger upgraded phone, and ear buds for $150.. great deal.

From the lack wireless charging, headphone jack, less than average 60hz refresh...I will gladly pass. Seems like the same decision samsung made with removing the headphone jack on the a53

I'm on the fence, reviews came out at the same time as this pre-sale, MKBHD says the 60 Hz display feels slower than other 60 Hz displays, and fingerprint scanner/reader is still slow. Camera is tried and true since the Pixel 2, but for the price I'm considering the A53 at this price point. Gotta do some math, maybe it'll be worth my while to trade it in, sell the Buds, and then sell the 6a for a better device. Alternatively, I might wait til the 7 releases and just see how prices for things drop.
Why does anyone care about what MKBHD thinks. Hes a youtuber whos daily driver is an iphone who pushes dbrand advertising, and just because he reviews android phones frequently, people take his opinions as if he were the head of google. His thoughts and opinions are about as noteworthy as your average mcdonalds teen working the register. laugh out loud

I have a galaxy A32 the screen is cracked but the screen works fine, wonder if I should pick cracked screen because they don't have another selection for cracked but working screen
Sounds like cracked versus not is minimal price difference - they offered me $300 for perfect phone and $295 to hottie for their cracked one.
