Pixel 6 owner here. I word of warning.
the reviews stating the slow finger print reader is concerning.
If i can go back in time, I would not buy the pixel 6 because the fingerprint reader is embarrassingly slow and misreads if you change lighting conditions. It's simply awful and makes checking the phone a chore. I hate it. No screen protector issue, not my phone (it was exchanged), and it's a common complaint. If you are coming from a phone that had even an average sensor, this will annoy you to no end.

The Google Tensor chips have such unreliable and poor mobile connections that a significant number of users have to reboot regularly or toggle airplane mode on/off just to get data working. It always happens when i drive. Check reddits pixel subs for more info. It doesn't look like any of those issues will be fixed because they simply aren't fixed in the flagships.
It seems to be an issue when you transition towers, so if you travel a lot or travel through dead zones, it'll happen more frequently. An unacceptable problem most in-studio reviews don't address, but real-world users struggle with, and have been since launch.

warning: This kind of trade in deal came around 1.5 yrs ago for 4a 5g. The say they will respect trade in value if old phone is received within a month of you receiving the new phone. But then they delayed the return pkg . And instead of giving $285 trade in value they gave $15. Everyone had to fight with customer care to get back the money. And they have terrible customer care.

Several reviews of the final product are indicating it's pretty similar to the 6 and 6 Pro. Some early stories and very early (unofficial) hands on videos said it was a faster sensor, but many of the reviews coming out today of the production model ay it's similar in speed. Maybe a hair faster here and there, but not so much as to make a noticeable difference in day-to-day use.

Just cancelled my orders and replaced after upgrading to 2TB plan. Pretty much paid for itself. Thanks for pointing that out.
Where does it show the 10% discount? I upgraded from a 100GB plan to the 2TB plan but the 10% credit does not appear in my cart or under the Google One "Benefits" section. My account shows 2TB of storage but my billing still shows me on the old plan until my month ends. I think that's my issue.

I have the p6pro its the best phone i have ever owned the fp works like 100%

The camera is light yrs ahead of other phones
i am 200% satisfied

the only problem i have with 6A is that they using the same old camera and using the new tensor chip which to me isnt particularly appealing. the camera should be kept the same as 6

add 5-6 fingerprints of same finger
I find usually the software on phones say something along the lines of "this finger print has already been entered" when I try doing this.

So from scanning this thread it seems that no one has figured out how to get 10% off this order when first subscribing to Google One, right (the 10% is only good down the road on another purchase of...something)?

Not going to sh*t on your comment or anything because your own experience with the phone is valid. However I will say that I have the Pixel 6 Pro and for the most part it has been a really great phone. The fingerprint sensor works just fine (except if your hands are wet or really dirty) and I think for most people it would be just fine. That being said it does have some minor bugs that get really annoying. For example if I open the camera from the lock screen and press the button to capture a picture, sometimes it will switch to video instead of capturing. App switching doesn't reliably work when you're swiping up from certain applications, this bug consistently happens to me. Sometimes maps gets a little frozen when switching to android auto. If you use another messaging app and you have conversations muted, and your phone is on android auto, the notification for a new message from the muted convo will come in on BOTH your preferred messaging app and the baked in google messages one, even if you deactivate the google one.

Can't think of anything else though.

No luck for a Pixel 3 XL trade in, it appears.
That seems ridiculous if they take the 3a. Guess I'll keep mine until it dies.

Didn't realize the connectivity issue was a widespread thing. Was debating RMA'ing my 6 Pro because it's getting just ridiculous. I'm having to toggle airplane mode like 10 times a day! This and the fingerprint reader are the only two gripes I have about this phone though. Although, the connectivity drives me CRAZY some days.

6 pro owner. It happens even as i walk around my house on my mesh wifi, i have to drop and go to guest wifi again or airplane mode and go back. Super annoying for teams/webex calls for work, i get disconnected if i walk around, not even mobile data but my own wifi!

Sorry not sure, just went here and clicked upgrade
https://one.google.com/storage?hl...medium=web

Immediately after I added to cart, and on the top right of the cart it said I would get 10% store credit back, as opposed to the 3% it previously showed...

FYI - I was quoted $295 trade-in credit for my pixel 3a with cracked screen at Google 🙂 and got the free pixel buds. feels like a heck of a deal to me!

edit- I purchased unlocked without a Google Fi plan
How?! They wanna give me $30 for my Pixel 3 (cosmetically sound).

The total for CA is $483.80. If Google honors the estimated $292.50 value for my Pixel 3A XL (cracked screen, but turns on), it will be $191.30 (for the phone and buds). If Google does not honor the estimated trade-in value, I'll just return it. Wasn't planning to upgrade my 5A, but this is a good option to get rid of my cracked 3A XL. I do wish 6A had a phone jack (why, Google? why?).

Much better camera, faster cpu, slightly bigger screen

but smaller screen, loss of DEX, lower res screen

at least off the top of my head

The 10% is credit on your next purchase, not a discount on the current order.

So if you buy this phone you would get $45 credit for your second purchase.
