Pixel 6 owner here. I word of warning.
the reviews stating the slow finger print reader is concerning.
If i can go back in time, I would not buy the pixel 6 because the fingerprint reader is embarrassingly slow and misreads if you change lighting conditions. It's simply awful and makes checking the phone a chore. I hate it. No screen protector issue, not my phone (it was exchanged), and it's a common complaint. If you are coming from a phone that had even an average sensor, this will annoy you to no end.

The Google Tensor chips have such unreliable and poor mobile connections that a significant number of users have to reboot regularly or toggle airplane mode on/off just to get data working. It always happens when i drive. Check reddits pixel subs for more info. It doesn't look like any of those issues will be fixed because they simply aren't fixed in the flagships.
It seems to be an issue when you transition towers, so if you travel a lot or travel through dead zones, it'll happen more frequently. An unacceptable problem most in-studio reviews don't address, but real-world users struggle with, and have been since launch.

warning: This kind of trade in deal came around 1.5 yrs ago for 4a 5g. The say they will respect trade in value if old phone is received within a month of you receiving the new phone. But then they delayed the return pkg . And instead of giving $285 trade in value they gave $15. Everyone had to fight with customer care to get back the money. And they have terrible customer care.

Several reviews of the final product are indicating it's pretty similar to the 6 and 6 Pro. Some early stories and very early (unofficial) hands on videos said it was a faster sensor, but many of the reviews coming out today of the production model ay it's similar in speed. Maybe a hair faster here and there, but not so much as to make a noticeable difference in day-to-day use.

Does any one know if we can trade in a phone with a burn in ?
Mine has a burn in screen as well. It isnt cracked though. They should be more specific, my guess is they will take it regardless because they didnt specify.

Slightly faster.

Pixel 6a: Hexa-core, 2x 2.80GHz Cortex-X1 + 2x 2.25GHz Cortex-A76 + 4x 1.80GHz Cortex-A55

A71 5G: Octa-core, 1x 2.3GHz Kryo 475 + 1x 2.2GHz Kryo 475 + 6x 1.8GHz Kryo 475, 64-bit
I mean I'm not sure how accurate this is (I have no idea on mobile cpus), but looking at this link says otherwise

https://nanoreview.net/en/soc-com...gle-tensor

Is the benchmark from the link flat out incorrect?

Not sure. I just pulled from here:

I bit and traded in a decent Pixel 3a for $300.

I tried the Google One subscription. At first I signed up for 200gb for $1/mo, which nets 3% credit for Google Play store purchases. I realized the 2tb plan for $8/mo would get me 10% credit. I upgraded to that and completed my checkout on the Pixel. I only saw 3% credit mentioned at checkout.

BL - Google one subscription probably not worth the hassle to save $20. If you do it, change the subscription and then start your checkout at the Play store.

I pulled the trigger with trading in my 4a 5g with a cracked screen for $260. I'll definitely take that. I got good use out of this phone but it's slowing and considering what I paid for this phone like 2 years ago and with free buds for the wife this seems like a legit deal.

Yup. Logged into my account then did it via chat.
I'm a TMO veteran, and I know how super YMMV any of their promos are... Free lines, hookup, kickback discount, SOC codes, etc.

How exactly did you phrase it in chat to bypass the add a line requirement?? It's hard enough as is to point them to the specific LEGIT promotion codes for their actual deals 🙃

Pixel 6a is supposed to be on par with it's higher model 6 and 6 pro on benchmark performance..6a should outform A71 5G in benchmark by quite a bit. I think Imma go for it

Check your order history page on google store. If it doesn't show up there, you should cancel and reorder. Btw, my order confirmation email shows the earbud

Very tempted to bite but after watching MKBHD's review saying the screen is choppy and the rainbow effect, idk. I'm coming from a Pixel 4 90Hz so maybe I wouldn't even notice, he's obviously used to 120Hz phones etc. I might wait for the Pixel 7 in 3 months.
