Pixel 6 owner here. I word of warning.
the reviews stating the slow finger print reader is concerning.
If i can go back in time, I would not buy the pixel 6 because the fingerprint reader is embarrassingly slow and misreads if you change lighting conditions. It's simply awful and makes checking the phone a chore. I hate it. No screen protector issue, not my phone (it was exchanged), and it's a common complaint. If you are coming from a phone that had even an average sensor, this will annoy you to no end.

The Google Tensor chips have such unreliable and poor mobile connections that a significant number of users have to reboot regularly or toggle airplane mode on/off just to get data working. It always happens when i drive. Check reddits pixel subs for more info. It doesn't look like any of those issues will be fixed because they simply aren't fixed in the flagships.
It seems to be an issue when you transition towers, so if you travel a lot or travel through dead zones, it'll happen more frequently. An unacceptable problem most in-studio reviews don't address, but real-world users struggle with, and have been since launch.

warning: This kind of trade in deal came around 1.5 yrs ago for 4a 5g. The say they will respect trade in value if old phone is received within a month of you receiving the new phone. But then they delayed the return pkg . And instead of giving $285 trade in value they gave $15. Everyone had to fight with customer care to get back the money. And they have terrible customer care.

Several reviews of the final product are indicating it's pretty similar to the 6 and 6 Pro. Some early stories and very early (unofficial) hands on videos said it was a faster sensor, but many of the reviews coming out today of the production model ay it's similar in speed. Maybe a hair faster here and there, but not so much as to make a noticeable difference in day-to-day use.

Anybody know if the 10% store credit ( sign up Google One storage ) has an expiration date? I'm thinking about getting the store credit now and using it later in year towards a Pixel 7 or next year for towards a 7a.

Go for it. They don't care about the network lock status of your phone. Just it's physical condition matters. The credits from T-Mobile will continue to hit your account for the next 4 months.
Not so sure about that--or any of this, really. https://www.bbb.org/us/tn/la-verg...plaints

Well the ones of us that took the deal of the Motorola edge a week ago I guess most of us will be missing out on a steal most probably wish they waited. But I do have to say I did get excellent used from Best Buy and ended up paying less than $200 for it I did play around with Google's website and they offered me $300 so I could do the deal and make out but I think I'm going to stick with the Motorola edge there's so many people that are saying so many different things I don't know what to do anymore it's like if you know what you're talking about writing if you don't then stay the hell off this website there's too many different opinions and I don't know what to believe anymore. I hope this helps someone. Also the ones that are trading in their own old pixel phones with all that unlimited backup Google probably loves getting these phones off the street to save their backup if I was them I would keep their damn old phones for that reason only if any okay have a good day

Pixel 3 XL 128GB $110
Pixel 3a XL 64GB $300

wut?
An "a" for an "a" is the best I can come up with. You purchased a Xa model, get a discount on our latest Ya model.

That and the 'a' models are newer.

3a wasn't that much newer than 3

I'm only complaining because I have a 3 XL and 3a XL
Was wondering if order these phones from two separate google acounts.

Anyone has an experience with how the Google interprets this. I have chosen "Option NO for Is the phone free of Cracks and does the screen work properly". If I send the phone with slight burn purple tint on LCD display but without any cracks, are there any chances they might not honor the $295 trade in value? As I already declared that screen is not in good condition do I get a chance to stand my ground to get the trade value?
I never done a Google trade in, but I've done trade in with T-mobile, Sprint, and Samsung (they all have same rules). Normally screen burn is a non issue. As long as the screen turns on and it's free of cracks you're good.

Should I switch to this from S20 5G? this seems to be the best price to getting for a phone for less than $150 with free buds!

Can someone please confirm if the 6a's USB-C can use a headphone dongle? A Previous poster posted a phone comparison that looked like it cannot output audio.

google trade in experience was terrible last time.

Anyone knows, is the trade-in credit is going to be store credit? if so, we will need to spend the 300 only in google store.

I wonder if anyone knows if the $300 trade in value will also refund the original tax by a corresponding amount? Or if the tax paid is irretrievably lost, regardless of trade in. (If so, then the 5% of $150 isn't much. But 5% of $450 bigger deal)

Trade in is a refund back to your payment method.
