Tried to do this deal and port existing number. Atrocious experience. I had my account # and release PIN. Entered it correctly on the site, get an error. Call boost, spend 40 minutes with CSR who asks me all of the questions again, says phone should be ported in 15-45 minutes. No port after 3, hours, then 24 hours. Called them again, they can't help it. Filed a dispute and got my money back. Then couldn't remove my CC from their site as it was locked for "auto pay", had to call them again and demand they delete my card from the web site. Do not recommend.

Since that "rep" isn't answering the question, I will. It's T-mobile's gsm network. Since boost used to be a sub of sprint's cdma network, this is basically their rebranding as "new".
Now, I'm not quite sure how or why it's so difficult for an actual employee/rep to give that answer.

Avoid Boost Mobile as much as possible. They suspend accounts for no reason. They told me they found some anomalies in my calls. I average make 1-5 calls a day, max 30 min long. They can't fix it when you call them. They open a ticket and say that it takes week days to fix it by a special team. Worst service. They don't even give the port out PIN number when suspension is in effect. Worst experience I had recently with them.

Boost was apart of Sprint and since T-Mobile bought them out I am sure they use T-Mobile towers.

AVOID BOOST MOBILE at all cost. I'm a current customer, and couldn't even add data or upgrade plan after my data ran out this month. Basically stuck with NO DATA for the rest of this month. No help from agent either - no solution after an entire week.

Perfect response. To many have watched to many movies and everyone thinks they are Tom Cruise or Erin Bragavitch ready to bring the evil deceptive corporate overlords down and hold them to account. Ties into the gotcha journalism and both ideas have got engrained in the public psyche to a disturbing degree. Everybody has got to get some injustice for themselves.

So I went to store to get the deal and they charged me $25 for activation fee & $10 for SIM. I was pretty much into the process so had no option. I've Samsung Note 20 Ultra and it doesn't work on it and I am struggling to get the port out PIN since i Can't register and there is no refund policy for Boost too

They use AT&T and T-Mobile but are strictly switching to AT&T. If the sim is white you get T-Mobile if it's black it's AT&T. You can find the T-Mobile ones at target and Best Buy however ordering from the Boost site is strictly AT&T SIMS only.

I had issues setting up as well took hours. I had to call customer service on a separate phone and got transferred to someone high up. Took an hour or so while talking to the guy to fix it.

That's not 100% true. I got boost on June and my phone connects to the AT&T 5G network.
