I bought one of these on Amazon after just quickly looking at the picture and not noticing it's a plug-in vacuum. I returned it right away. Using a plug-in vacuum for a car is ridiculous. Especially with cars that don't provide power to the plug unless the car is on, which is a lot of cars. Having to deal with a cord while you're maneuvering around trying to vacuum crevices and especially the back seat is massively annoying.

Pretty much all "car vacuums" are going to be powered in the same way. Otherwise you'd just get a regular cordless vacuum that you use for anything.

Battery powered are not as strong and also these are designed to be able to be stored in the car, so you don't want to have to keep it charged.
