Unless your motherboard doesn't support 5XXX series, I see no reason to get this over the 5900X which is the same price right now... This would be a good deal like in 2020.

5900x on microcenter can have 369$, not worth save 20$ as 5900x much faster and newer.

Its a bad deal when 12th gen and Zen 3 are on sale now, and much better CPUs. Next gen CPUs also launch in 2 months.

For example a 12700F is $310 and 50% faster in single threaded applications/gaming, and 20% faster in multi-threaded
