Wow, look at those finely machined jaws.... I've been waiting for Grooves to start carrying these since I first saw them many months ago on YouTube. These are sort of a combination on standard slip joint pliers with jaws similar to Japanese-made Engineer Nejisaurus (sp?) pliers. At any rate, take a look for yourself - most other sellers aren't really close to this price. Also, the comfort grip style of these Knipex Twin Grips [grooves-inc.com] is only about $2 more.

Please note - long lead time on these... may be close to a month before they're in stock at Grooves, and then expect at least 2 weeks for shipping to the United States and delivery to your home.

Neither this dipped handle nor the multi-material handle version ($2 more...better deal IMO) were in stock for me. I don't care for how this reseller works, since they allow you to add it to cart and start the checkout process before telling you they are out of stock.

I understand how that could be annoying, but the view I'm looking at, they make it pretty apparent (to me at least).

How are the shipping times with Grooves Inc.? Do you ever get hit with duties from customs?

Given the fact that the Euro is down versus the Dollar, and Europe is headed into a recession, we'll hopefully see more and more deals on German tools. At least it should offset inflation. Hopefully.

That said, I'd figure about 6 weeks before you can expect to have these. It could be sooner if Grooves gets them from Knipex before 4 weeks... but Grooves is claiming a 3 or 4 week lead time before they're even back in stock (and then add 2 weeks for shipping to the US). It's a good price, so I'm willing to wait.

PS - also, no duties or customs fees in all the orders I've received.

Thanks, I was curious about them in general. I've seen good deals in the past and hesitated. Two weeks is nothing if you've ever thrown your money into the mystery hole of Alibaba.

Got my order in. Email stating they are expecting their supplier shipment august 21st. Not sure why they'd run a sale on such a high demand item.

now I can just forget about them and be surprised when they show up.

Just an FYI for those that are still interested -- Grooves has these available, again, at $30 -- and back in stock is now down to 8-13 days. So, $2 more than when I posted, but still about the lowest price on these anywhere.
