Beware: Auto lock only compatible with iPhone, not Android phone. Deal breaker for me.

Must be one of those iPhone-only features that there is absolutely no reason to exclude Android from, except to encourage/annoy Android users to switch to iPhone. This sort of crap just makes me more determined to remain a lifelong boycotter of all things Apple.

From what I can tell this retrofit lock is brand new, I don't see it on Eufy's website. I am still going to give it a shot and maybe they will have an update in the future to add Android support. I have several Eufy products and firmware updates are fairly regular.

I am in the same boat, but there are not that many brands that support Ring systems. Eufy as far as the last time I checked was not supported by Ring.

beware...eufy models have widely reported issue of door lock getting jammed from inside occasionally. Happened to mine as well and I am currently in the process of returning mine.

I assume this does not work with Ring. If I have ring doorbell- how much of a pain it would be to use it as a lock as against ring compatible smart lock. Never used smart locks before.

Looks like this is new but now there are lots of locks from eufy and hard to choose which one to get. I currently have inbuilt wifi and fingerprint sensor model so far it's been good. But it's not on sale. This one you don't have to replace your lock just to make it smarter. There's another model that you will change your deadbolt lock and about same price but I don't If they have advantage over each other. I just need to replace my keys to new ones.

Based on some folks in various forum, the locking pin sometimes get jammed and only way to reset that is to use the app to unlock from inside. You can find some complaints here -

This isn't the reason. iPhone is both easier to develop for due to fewer hardware SKUs and fewer unsupported models receiving updates, plus iPhone users spend the vast majority of market revenue on apps and smart devices (despite there being far more Android phones in the world). It's a money decision. Android is a lower margin ecosystem. It's great to support it, but don't assume hidden conspiracy when plenty of developers and data explain why this happens.
