See those dates one is within 6 months the other in the last month. The x60 is as stable as it gets but also varies on the hardware version there are over 4 of them.
Tp-Link does regular updates and has for over 2 years now for almost all their product lines (deco 100%), but if something is not broken then why try to fix it, unlike a few other brands who fix one thing and break another so they have to rush to push another firmware out, I wont name names but you probably know who that is.
Yep, plus the guy is blowing smoke.

Thats the hardware version of the X20.
So far since the x20 release in 2020, TP-Link has made a V1, V1.2, V2, V2.6, V3 and V4.
Only V4 of the X20 has had a firmware update since 2021.
Do you think anyone has any control on what version of the X20 they get sent? I bought mine last year from Amazon and got sent the V1.2 which hasn't had an update since March 2021.
Again with the x60 there are multiple hardware versions of the same device. Unless you are lucky enough to receive a newer hardware model then you have not received firmware updates in over a year.
I've never had a router that doesn't receive security updates now and then plus basic features like picking the satellite each device connects to were promised and still haven't arrived.
I'm guessing the ones they keep selling at sale prices are the older versions of the Deco's and until you receive it you will have no idea.
Your original statement had no mention of it just X20's and x60's are not getting updates, which clearly IS NOT CORRECT cause they are. Your particular version might not need one so its not but others are cause they MIGHT NEED IT.
Also, I can hardwire 2 Decos but not the other (my house is 25 yrs old). Any problems with having 2 Decos hardwired and 1 wireless when used as access points?

That would be the only way to utilize over 1Gbps from your internet with these units since they only have a 1Gbps port.
As for problems with having one wireless, there wont be any, it just wont be as fast as the other two nodes.
There are only a few MESH products that can provide up to 1.4Gbps wireless and that would be the AX5700 and X90 from Tp-Link (both with 2.5Gbps ports) so if you really want the possibility of getting well over 1Gbps over wireless those are the models you want, but there are many factors and variables that might effect the ability for you to duplicate that results. A tester using the AX5700 almost identical to the X90 but a step down was able to get 1.4Gbps using a wifi 6 client with 160Mhz channels, making them one of the few capable hardware for that.
This Wifi 6E set unfortunately caps out over wireless around 800-850Mbps.
That only works if your modem has a 2.5Gbps port and you would need your 2.5Gbps switch connected to it to have that bandwidth available for wired connections. If you want to do it that way you would have to use the xfinity gateway as your router and setup these units as access points. Setup would look like this
Xfinity gateway > Switch> Access points
