See those dates one is within 6 months the other in the last month. The x60 is as stable as it gets but also varies on the hardware version there are over 4 of them.

Tp-Link does regular updates and has for over 2 years now for almost all their product lines (deco 100%), but if something is not broken then why try to fix it, unlike a few other brands who fix one thing and break another so they have to rush to push another firmware out, I wont name names but you probably know who that is.

The product box fine print states the basic is free and the pro version is extra.

Not quite, these are currently serving wifi 6 to my device across the satellites. You have the option in software to either reserve 6 for backhaul only or share it with capable devices (at the expense of reduced backhaul bandwidth).

This is a good point that tends to get glossed over. I haven't owned a ton of TP-Link products but I've helped maintain a few, and they seem to have a good reputation for releasing products that are already mature and not super buggy from the start. Without naming companies, some seem to do a lot less testing and development, release products that need tons if immediate bug fixes, and often break more things away, requiring more updates. I'm no expert, but TP-Link seems to be one of the better companies as far as all this goes - they release updates when warranted but their firmware doesn't need constant, major overhauls.

It is basically a baiting thing. The non-pro (and severely limited compared to HomeCare) is free. I would have no qualms if they had put the DDoS and Security Shield behind the paywall (just like any paid antivirus). But putting different internet access schedule for different days in parental controls behind a paywall is well .. absurd

I've had these for about 2 months. Took 30 minutes to setup initially and worked great for 1 month. Then, out of no where, they stopped connecting to my PPPoE centrylink service. Just won't do it. Grabbing the logs shows it authenticates successfully. I don't know if this was centrylinks fault or tp-links, but either way they are just sitting in their optimal mesh locations unplugged. And yes, I know how to setup the vlan. I even tried every priority 0-7.

That's funny. I dumped my Orbi 6 when they did a forced upgrade that was dropping my WiFi multiple times through the day and you could not revert back to an earlier version. I tried working with support but after 30 days, and my return window approaching, I dumped it. I am guessing they eventually fixed this. Look back about two years for the issue. Horrible and nothing but chirps from them until I stopped following the issue.

Zero issues with my older Orbi.

AX5700 has 2.5 gb ports while AX5300 only has 1 gb ports. Depending on your internet plan, this may make a difference
