See those dates one is within 6 months the other in the last month. The x60 is as stable as it gets but also varies on the hardware version there are over 4 of them.
Tp-Link does regular updates and has for over 2 years now for almost all their product lines (deco 100%), but if something is not broken then why try to fix it, unlike a few other brands who fix one thing and break another so they have to rush to push another firmware out, I wont name names but you probably know who that is.
Yep, plus the guy is blowing smoke.

I wanted to add Asus mesh as main router as the interface looks like a regular router interface with all kinds of options/settings and other units as AP. Not having a traffic/bandwidth monitor in Tp link is an annoyance but i was not sure if mixing Asus + Deco mesh would even work. Although ASUS might be expensive for 2 or 3 units.

Any easy way to update the mesh network? I was thinking off adding the new nodes from the new axe5300 system and then deleting the old ones (ax3600) and then physically taking the old ones off line. Not sure if I'm going to run into any issues.
Premium Parental controls features still behind a paywall I'm assuming.

Otherwise, you would just replace all the access points and just name the WiFi the same as you currently have with the same password and all your current devices will reconnect without issue

It's in the OP, but here is a clearer one from their site. Looking at TP-Link site [tp-link.com] though , they offer both a Basic and Pro version of the HomeShield. The Basic is free, so might be the Basic. But Costco doesn't specify either way.
I do know with Ring Products, they used to give a year free of Ring subscription bundled in.
