See those dates one is within 6 months the other in the last month. The x60 is as stable as it gets but also varies on the hardware version there are over 4 of them.
Tp-Link does regular updates and has for over 2 years now for almost all their product lines (deco 100%), but if something is not broken then why try to fix it, unlike a few other brands who fix one thing and break another so they have to rush to push another firmware out, I wont name names but you probably know who that is.
Yep, plus the guy is blowing smoke.

But it doesn't do it …. But it's so fast and the more I actually use the static IP VPN at client level it is so slow it wouldn't be worth it. Very weird using NORDVPN static IP —- speeds are decent (300 mbps) but everything just lags horribly…
Pretty much identical in wifi 6 performance except this also has wifi 6E which is honestly not that much better than standard Wifi 6. Both units at the router should be getting around 800-900Mbps at their max to a proper client with optimized setting for performance.

The only valid complaint out of all of them is the WAN/LAN auto sensing issue, but in most cases that wont affect many people at all since very few use the WAN side without internet. In short if the internet from your provider stops working your whole network stops working even trying to talk to local devices. I never experienced the issue myself with my fiber internet but my fiber for the last two years has been very stable. This issue would also not effect anyone whos using the units as access points with their own router.

I just joined costco using groupon deal and I have the $40 to burn (40 off 250 online). I saw that for regular items (groceries, tissues/napkins, etc) the online prices at costco is more expensive than stores. There are 2 items I am thinking of using that coupon for:
1. This mesh router
2. Google nest learning thermostat.
Still deciding which is a better value for money, since I cant find anything at better online price point at costco to make the coupon worth it..

What is the reason to do the above mention setup vs using one of these as the router and other 2 as the satellites? What benefit do we gain in above setup?
When you switch these units to AP mode they lose the following features including Antivirus, Parental Controls, Port Forwarding, Address Reservation, TP-Link DDNS, etc. This is done to prevent problems with your existing router. Since the existing router will control all these functions.
The reason to do that for some people is some people use very advanced routers that allow major customization, so all they want these units for is just to extend the wifi coverage. The other reason to do that is to avoid the autosense problem, which as mentioned in most cases effects very few people since almost everyone relies on internet and not WAN for their day to day. There is no autosense issue if all 3 units are access points.
