What irked me the most in CA was that I had a late filing penalty of $250 which they could have waived off coz I paid them what I owe anyways and the late filing was for the year 2020. With the budget surplus of $50 billion they refused to waive it off after I repeatedly plead with them up until last month. Oh well, anyways I don't reside in the state anymore. Feel bad for those people who work hard and pay all their taxes owed and still get screwed sometimes
