In Florida, the limit is $1500 or less when purchasing a computer. What are you trying to buy?

Florida
Sales tax holiday period is July 25–August 7, 2022.

To qualify for the tax exemption, the purchase must be made during the sales tax holiday period by an individual for personal use with a price of $1500 or less. Computers (including iPad) and computer accessories qualify for this holiday.

Please visit the Florida Department of Revenue website for complete terms and conditions:

Too bad I'm not a fan of apple products
Do you go into every thread and tell everyone what you're not a fan of? That would make me not a fan of you.

It's not just Apple products. Apple is just putting the word out there for the tax savings in these states. IF your state includes computer purchases, you can buy any brand.

Thanks. Most likely the brand and model i want won't be available.

It shows estimated tax. It won't charge you tax on the invoice. I had the same thing happen. It showed estimated tax but I was only charged tax on Applecare+.

I feel ya man! I moved from CA to OR and there is no sales tax in OR (income tax is on par with CA tho. The states gotta get money from somewhere to keep it running right?).

What irked me the most in CA was that I had a late filing penalty of $250 which they could have waived off coz I paid them what I owe anyways and the late filing was for the year 2020. With the budget surplus of $50 billion they refused to waive it off after I repeatedly plead with them up until last month. Oh well, anyways I don't reside in the state anymore. Feel bad for those people who work hard and pay all their taxes owed and still get screwed sometimes
