Beware... Pennzoil Platinum performed WORSE than their cheaper regular full synthetic oil in the recent Project Farm video. Ultra Platinum is what you want to look for.

pennzoil didnt pay the last rebate. im sure they pay some...but not all. just look for the reviews related to this. so dont thhink that getting your rebate is a guarantee. my rebate was absolutely valid (purchased from Amazon...submitted all the correct paperwork). each time i file it they give a different response. took it up a level and now they wont respond at all.

Make sure you use the receipt after Amazon delivered, not the just ordered receipt.

While I agree that he can't simulate engine conditions of course, it still gives you somewhat of an idea of how an oil will perform. Also, you can't deny the fact that the oil analysis report (performed professionally at a lab) showed that the Platinum has LESS anti-wear & detergent/dispersant additives than any of the other Pennzoil products.

Not saying you are but.... Many folks over tighten, by far, the oil drain plug. Use a torque wrench.

Most are only 20-25 ft lbs. Not much.

I regret choosing Penzoil and not mobile1. I submilled all correctly and status just keeps saying in process, I asked the lady I dont mind if you send GC after even 6 months but I need to know its accepted so I can use it, she says call after 3 weeks, I checked after 4 weeks it still says in process. Their email says upto 6 weeks for entire process but their recording now says 8 weeks so does the lady who cannot even find my rebate application, I told the lady this is not right changing from 6 weeks in email to 8 weeks she says she is not spending time to argue with me. I have feeling now they are going to reject for some stupid reason. More people should complain.this crooked rebate processors

For someone like me I have to use 0w16 and it does not come in ultra. Or I get 0w20 and the next time I have to use 0w16. That sounds too much work. This is still good, oil not the "worst"

Using 0W-16 will lower your likelihood of having oil consumption.
