That was a refurb Hover-1 Alpha from two weeks ago. I ordered two, and had to send both back. Neither would hold air in back tire, one had max speed of 6mph. You didn't miss anything, bad refurbs (iRecertify)

A large part of the scooters value is the battery. Risky not knowing how many charge cycles, if any, the scooter has been through.

Don't buy if the insurance is not offered. I had 3 of these and they all broke due to vibration from riding. They refunded me the full purchase price from Amazon or Walmart depending on where was it purchased.

Does this use a key to start or could anyone just turn it on and use it?

When you go to the grocery store, do you just lock it up like a bike?

Basically, I'm just afraid of this getting stolen if I get it and use it to run errands.

Just fold it up and put it in your cart would be your best bet.
