I own the 30LP. Max 25 miles. The other model is 40 miles. Keep in mind you must download the Segway app and activate Bluetooth on your phone to use the scooter.

I wish our government had good subsidies for electric scooters. It's more realistic to buy a good and nice electric scooter around $1k than $50k Tesla or many other inflated electric cars. IMO, this would help the planet more if we can educated the people and build better infrastructure for public transport and bikes in general. But everything we do lately is so backwards. Sorry for making it too political
Why be sorry? There's not a single lie or unreasonable statement. More people should be thinking like this. Or at least thinking.

Electric scooters are not environmentally friendly whatsoever. Where do you think the batteries come from and go where they are depleted? These are still very dirty from an environmental perspective.
A scooter uses less than 1/100th of the raw materials that an average car uses, if we are talking about perspective.

Average car weight: 4094 pounds.
For simplicity, we'll say the average scooter weight is 40.9 pounds, but it's probably lighter.

I have a G30P (40 mile range) and a G30LP (25 mile range).
LP weights less and has a shorter wheel base and handle bars are slightly shorter.
In my opinion the LP charger is inferior because it requires a power supply brick in the middle of the cord. G30P power brick is built into the scooter so it only requires a fairly standard cord and far easier to transport/replace.
G30P also has a nice water tight (ish) charger port cover on a hinge, LP's is flimsy rubber and insecure.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

I bought this scooter 2 years ago. I'm 40 years old 6'4 210lbs.

The handles were a little too low for me. The construction is very high quality and this is a good price.

This is perfect for a major city as it is plenty fast, has good range, and is light and small enough to be mobile. It doesn't get much better for an urban scooter you have to carry inside places.

If you don't have to carry it anywhere, like you have a garage you can just pull into to, get dual suspension from alibaba or bangood. All the US scooter manufacturers are just the same crap with different branding, ninebot is about the only one that actually feels like a well engineered product.

I have this setup with the seat. I took it off after 2 weeks because the scooter itself was heavy enough; with the seat, it became unwieldy. It was awkward to fold both the handle and seat when carrying, and if you have to go up and down the stairs, forget it. I think this is great for people who don't need to fold or carry between destinations. Don't get this if part of your commute is public transportation.

So I live in New York City, and I just recently moved to another part of the city. My commute now involves taking 2 subway lines and a bus. I don't mind the subway but the bus sucks.

I want a scooter that's decent to handle the industrial section of Brooklyn (bus section) but still light enough that can be transported in the subway.

Reading the comments here, it seems split.

The bus to work route is about 1.3 miles each way so I don't need something that's super long lasting but is this scooter worth it?

If you can easily lift 40lbs it will be fine. I struggle a bit wtih my G30LP, I don't think I could do NYC subway stairs with it.

I switched to Unagi, lightest scooter in class (22#) with the 500w motor. I am 190# and it is powerful enough to take me up hills plus carrying it in and out of the train, and up and down the stairs. I couldn't do that with the Segway. 40+ pounds is twice the weight and seriously, it's not just a minor difference.

I went from the Xiaomi M365 to the G30P. The 365 was great and well built. The g30p is built like a tank, but also much heavier. I'd think something like the 365 would fit the bill. I wouldn't want to be carrying and stowing the 30 much. It's bulkier and heavy.

Thanks for the feedback. As much as I do like o to be built like a tank, carrying 40lb up and down the stairs is gonna be a pain in the butt. I'll deff look into other scooters like the unagi. I won't be buying this one

Thanks
