XM4s are amazing. I won't have to buy a pair of headphones for another decade.

I just got the XM4 from them and they look new. I don't know how loud jrod needs to listen to headphones but they're screaming at half volume for me. The noise canceling works great but can be a little uncomfortable for just a second with sudden air pressure changes like opening a door. I thought about waiting for a deal for these but I'm happy I didn't spend the extra $110... mine were on sale for $149.

I was in the same boat as you and disappointed with the "quiet" music but I found a solution at least in my case:

If you happen to be an iOS user, there is an iOS setting that's on by default to protect your hearing while wearing headphones:

Settings > Sounds and Haptics > Headphone Safety > Reduce Loud Sounds > OFF

This was a game changer for my XM4's. Obviously applies to other headphones as well. Hope this helps!

Got mine today, just a carrying case and headphones. No box, charger, or charging wire.
Just wondering if anyone got the same thing.

Btw, I have XM3, and they are amazing. XM5 is an upgrade!

Got mine last week, got case and headphones, cables were in the trap door in the case, all looked brand new and these are the first noise cancelling headphones I've ever tried that aren't disorienting when enabled.

Any risk these could be counterfeit? I have not purchased form them before, I would think if the sony software is ok with the bluetooth synch it should be ok. I remember back when Studio Beats were a thing there were so many counterfeits.

Got these and have used them for a few days. Upgrading from my 1000xm3s, it's a completely different experience with the upgraded bluetooth. The XM3s would do weird shit all of the time like be detected as headphones not s headset or just fail to connect. These connect instantly to multiple devices, so much less hassle for WFH
