For a drill bit? 🤔 That sounds like a recipe for disaster

Only good for accessing screws at an angle. Regular straight cut is best if you have direct access.

Best quality vs price for allen sets is the Bondhus. Also interesting fact, they invented the ball end allen in 1964.

A ball end works for direct access as well. But there is a weak point at the end where the 'ball' is made. I'm not sure I would use them for impact purposes.

Awesome! I run business where we assemble custom products using metric hex head screws. We go thru a lot of bits and electric screwdrivers. Can always use more Smilie

Hard to beat a good set of ball end hex. I still keep a standard set around for occasional use. Ball set is my go-to set.

Can't speak to this specific set, but I did buy a set of Milwaukee hex bits a while back and it has been awfully nice to have while assembling toddler furniture. Far fewer bloodied knuckles and dropped allen wrenches.

I've broken ball ends off in hard to reach set screws and that creates a massive PITA.
