That's not how it works. FreeSync doesn't give you double the refresh rate. It syncs up your frames so you get less screen tearing. Sometimes you can't run a certain refresh rate without it enabled but it won't double the refresh rate of this monitor. It's 75hz.

It looks like there's two versions of this monitor. A 75hz and 144hz. The 144hz model is the VG270UP.

Exactly why they call that a Gaming Monitor is beyond me. You can game on any monitor but a real Gaming monitor should have at least 144hz now days actually higher...

If only it had a higher refresh rate, I'd be all over this.

It does 144hz with FreeSync. 75hz is native. You won't find many monitors with over a 75hz native refresh rate.

"FreeSync allows AMD's graphics cards and APUs to control the refresh rate of a connected monitor." From AMDs site. Every spec I find on this monitor also says 144hz.

Office Depot, not surprisingly, has bad specs. This does look like a 144Hz gaming monitor. https://www.ign.com/articles/2018...tor-review

Does this have that ugly eye saver/blue light filter on it?

The pursuit of a 27" IPS 1440p with a refresh of 144hz (at a decent price) continues.

Yes, this is correct. I posted the deal. At first I thought it was an error on the site, but it is indeed 75hz. The P model is 144hz.

Still, if you want the screen real estate and 1440p and a decent refresh rate, I think it's a great deal. I'm just hooking mine up to my MBP for development work. Couldn't find a better deal for 1440p even at 60hz that was brand new.

I am looking for monitor, but for $5 more you get 32 inch and LG as well, same 1440p. What do you think? The LG or Acer?

The HP x27q comes to the Amazon treasure truck every few months for $175 - $180. Probably the best value for the price bracket. IPS screen, 400nit brightness (HDR400), and 165hz.
